(TND) — Former President Donald Trump took to social media Sunday to leave little doubt about what he thinks of Taylor Swift, who endorsed his opponent last week.
“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” reads a post, in all caps, on Trump’s Truth Social account.
Trump had taken a softer tone when asked last week on Fox News about Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris.
“I actually like Mrs. Mahomes much better if you want to know the truth,” Trump said, referring to Swift’s friend, Brittany Mahomes.
Brittany Mahomes is the wife of the Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Swift has become friends with the Mahomes since she began dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
“I was not a Taylor Swift fan. … But she’s a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat. And she’ll probably pay a price for it at the, in the marketplace,” Trump said during a phone-in interview Wednesday on Fox News.
Swift’s Instagram post, which went up the night of the presidential debate, has over 11 million likes. And her post reportedly spurred hundreds of thousands of visits to the vote.gov website, where people can register to vote.
